FAQ

I've been thinking about going natural. What do I need to do?

You can cut all of the chemical off also known as the " Big Chop" or gradually cut the ends off over time. You can wear your hair as you normally do until it gets to the point where you have too much new growth. At this point other options are available such as 2-strand twists with the ends curled, flexi rod set and maybe extentions. During this time, moisture is a must.

The Big Chop! What is that?

The Big Chop is a term used for individuals who want to go natural. They decide to cut all of the chemical off creating a drastic change without question. OR some just cut their hair off completely!

How much new growth would I need to wear a natural style?

Everyone's hair texture is different. For the kinkier or tighter curl patterns, you can probably get a coiled style with 2 inches of new growth. For the looser curl patterns you would need at least 3 to 4 inches. Of course if you are just going to wear the short natural look, any length is fine. That is your preference.
